Parkville Women’s Clinic (PWC) is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse (27 hours or more per week) to join our Medical Team. This position offers the opportunity to provide life-affirming, Christ-centered care while supporting women and families with compassion and excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Limited OB ultrasound training (preferred; training available if needed).
  • A heart to serve women and families with professional, Christ-like care.

Medical Team Overview

Parkville Women’s Clinic (PWC) is a non-profit, Christian organization with a mission to engage, equip, and empower individuals to make informed decisions about pregnancy, sexual health, and relationships with Christ-like compassion.

The Medical Team provides support and care to patients while maintaining professional standards of care. Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, Medical Director, and Director of Nursing, the Medical Team is responsible for a wide variety of clinic functions, including providing direct and indirect patient care, compassionate education, and life-affirming counsel that reflects a Christ-like view of human life.

The Medical Team works in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, registered diagnostic medical sonographers, and client advocates to ensure that patients receive the highest quality medical, nursing, and psychosocial care.


Reports to: Director of Nursing

Status:   - Exempt, Full-time staff: 27 hours or more per week

     - Part-time staff: 8–26 hours per week

     - Volunteer: minimum 2 days per month (or equivalent in half days)

Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Provides health care by assessing patient needs and making medical judgments that reflect safe medical practices and follow
    PWC Policy and Procedure.
  • Explains medical consent forms to patients and answers questions prior to services.
  • Performs pregnancy testing and sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment as directed.
  • If trained in limited OB ultrasound, performs consultations and examinations in accordance with Medical Director’s standing
    orders.
  • Completes patient follow-up education, calls, and texts in a timely manner.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complies with the PWC Policy and Procedure manual.
  • Displays an understanding of and commitment to confidentiality and privacy in the clinic.
  • Maintains accurate charting and correspondence documentation; follows through on physician’s orders and referrals for
    medical services.
  • Assures accurate implementation of physician orders and notifies the physician and Director of Nursing of any significant
    changes in patient condition.
  • Complies with annual and quarterly competency checks for medical skills, ultrasound training, confidentiality training, and
    OSHA as required.

Education & Spiritual Care

  • Provides education and resources for patients and families relevant to their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
  • Furthers the mission of PWC by offering Christ-centered, compassionate care and prayer/spiritual support as appropriate.

Teamwork & Training

  • Supports patient care and clinical operations. Staff nurses provide oversight and guidance for volunteer medical team Members and other volunteers as needed.
  • Attends required staff, nurse, and training meetings (staff in person; staff/volunteers virtually or in person as applicable)
  • Participates in weekday and weekend rotation call schedule (staff).
  • Supports PWC fundraising events (staff; minimum of two annually, as scheduled).

Professional Conduct

  • Demonstrates punctuality, dependability, and follow-through on commitments.
  • Assists in maintaining adequate supplies for all medical procedures while keeping accurate inventory records.
  • Maintains ongoing education in medical/nursing practices, safety, infection control as well as use of clinical systems, supplies,
    and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license or other professional certification in Missouri, in good standing, with adherence to Missouri licensing board
    standards.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Fully agrees with and upholds PWC’s Mission, Vision, and Statement of Faith & Code of Christian Conduct.
  • Demonstrates a sincere desire to serve abortion-vulnerable and abortion-minded women with compassion.
  • Maintains a consistent life-affirming philosophy and would never refer or advise a woman to have an abortion
  • Must be a committed Christian demonstrating a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, evidenced by active
    membership in a Bible-believing church and personal spiritual growth consistent with biblical teaching.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the sanctity of all human life and sexual integrity.
  • Conveys a loving, compassionate, non-judgmental attitude with diverse and at-risk patients.
  • Able to multi-task with high organizational, communication, and administrative skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.
  • Personal professional liability insurance (optional).
  • Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and integrity with PWC staff, volunteers, and patients.
  • At least one year of clinical experience with progressively more responsibility in a doctor’s office or clinical setting preferred.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinic environment.
