Katie’s Story

“What if I hadn’t shared the clinic’s number with Katie?” Connie has that thought occasionally when she thinks back to her daughter’s teenaged friend who found herself pregnant and alone. Katie had an appointment at an abortion clinic, but thanks to Connie and PWC staff, she chose to have an ultrasound instead.

“Sure he looked like a bean,” Katie remarked about seeing the image on the ultrasound screen, “but he was MY bean.”

Katie now lives in Nebraska with her husband and three children.
